Australia Zoo is one of the most recognized zoos in the world founded by Steve Irwin, it is only 58 minutes away from Brisbane via car but can be accessible via public transport that takes 3 hours. 

There is a variety of public transport in Brisbane such as trains (subway coming soon) and buses throughout the city. There are CityCats which is a form of transport around the river. Uber and taxi services as well as electric scooters and bicycles (each one has regulations and rules before using them, please check these beforehand).

Is located 78km south of Brisbane, it is along the coastline with the most popular surf areas in Australia and the world. Gold Coast is considered the paradise of surfing. Gold Coast was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in December 1994 along with parks and nature reserves.
